Cold Reduced Plate is produced at room temperature. The flattening without the application of heat produces a sheet metal that’s very strong , smooth and slim. Unlike Hot Rolled Plate, that is often covered by a layer of mill scale as a result of heating, Cold Reduced plate tends to have a smooth, more polished finish. This finish makes it popular in most indoor applications.
